Hello, I’m Maarten.
Originally from Belgium, I am currently based in London while also working throughout Europe.
I am an award-winning brand and communications strategist with a proven track record of driving local & global businesses forward.
I have spent a decade working in creative agencies around Europe, from small independents to global A-list, and am trained in some of the world’s most effective strategy departments.
I’m a creatively-driven, holistic and hands-on type of strategist, who realises that strategy doesn’t sit in an ivory tower.
My work has been creatively and strategically awarded, both in Cannes and at the Effie’s, and got people in the real world talking.
You’ll find that most of my portfolio work is non-traditional for a comms strategist. It highlights how I think around a problem, and look at it from different ways rather than jumping straight into the familiar. It demonstrates how my strategic thinking shapes brand behaviour & product strategy as much as it feeds into comms.
